Artist Statement

Using an uncommon variety of media, I create images that are often highly abstract and experimental, but which reference the visual and kinetic forces of energy, light and electricity. This interest in creating an aesthetic inspired by physics manifests itself in my work not in a scientific or analytical aspect, but rather in diverse styles that explore the expressionistic and geometric forms of abstraction. In colors that range from the incredibly vivid to the dark and enigmatically brooding, I paint meteorological flares, a glowing curtain of electricity, or labyrinthine threads of light that make visible that which is never static or tangible. Though varied in technique - from the deliberate and measured to the impulsive and explosive. My work is united by a powerful rhythm of space and pattern, and by an often mystical, symbolic undercurrent
