Everyone we know A Moleskine Sketchbook
Project
When I decided to participate in the Moleskine Sketchbook Project, I had no idea how to approach the theme at hand, “Everyone We Know.” Once I received the blank Moleskine to sketch up, I gave it a quick look; I let it rest for about two weeks and almost abandoned it. What triggered later my brain was the night before the New Year’s Day when along with my wife Silvana we’ve spent that night.
The day after I woke up early, very early in the morning of the January 1 2009, with my head crowed of words, sounds, and rhymes, kicking out my brain. So I’ve started to throw words on the paper and within 30 min the story was fully drafted. The story is mixed with crumbs of my life episodes along with whishfull thinking or deadly thoughts deep into the future. A month later the book was ready to go on the road, along with many others. A year later, miles on its pages, and who knows how many people have been touched it, the original Moleskine book went back home. It’s ready now to touch your hands, fill up your eyes, and get the connection with everyone we know. Sketchbook Project, is a traveling exhibit curated by the Art House Brooklyn NY.
