ARTISTS TRANSFORM HISTORIC BARN INTO
UNIQUE ART INSTALLATION,CONCATENATION
One-Day Exhibit Features Work by Daniel Rossi and Dymphna de Wild
STAUNTON, VA – An innovative art installation, CONCATENATION, will be hosted in an unlikely site certain to challenge the traditional art-going experience. Virginia-based Italian artist, Daniel Rossi and Dutch artist, Dymphna de Wild will create site-specific installations in the transformed barn on historic Cobble Hill Farm in Staunton, Virginia. The barn will be converted into a one-of-a-kind art experience for one day only, Sunday, October 28th from 3PM – 8PM.
Concatenation is defined as “a series of events, ideas or things that are connected.”
The installation explores the concept of chain reactions and its relevance in our lives. Rossi and de Wild will feature large-scale mobiles; mixed media and illuminated sculptures; abstract paintings; and works on paper. Through an immersive environment, CONCATENATION presents the infinity of possible scenarios, linked between past, present and future.
The artist-organized installation is an exploratory step in redefining how the public encounters the arts. By constructing an exhibit in an unconventional space, artists explore the possibilities in terms of creative process. In turn, it can be a powerful platform for reaching a broader audience.

From the Babel show @ Space 29

Showing at Babel this month in Jackson Heights.
ABOUT. This exhibition explores the relationship of language and the visual arts. Through paintings, illustrations, photography, sculpture, installations, video, performance and new-media, BABEL establishes connections between the written word and the recent explosion of immigrant conclaves in and around New York City. Selected works treat the diversity and plurality of the written language as reflected, incorporated, and/or appropriated in visual arts, performance, and the moving image.

Portrait of Mr.Boo

Medium: Ink on Paper

Year: 2011
The Mythical Mr. Boo doesn't believe in luck, although he does enjoy chopping off rabbit's feet.
The Mythical Mr. Boo is like a fog that creeps about your window while you are fornicating with your wife. And just like fog, if the police ever catch him, he'll be cleared by morning.
