In 1998, Daniel co-founded the Italian-based comics publishing house, Lexy Division Press. As Artistic Director he led the selection and publishing of US comics for the Italian marketplace. Clients included Dark Horse, Image and Checker Book Publishing among others.
In partnership with the Lodz Film School of Poland, Daniel co-directed a b&w feature film in 1999, Kairos and Kronos. The film was shot in Arezzo, San Giovanni Valdarno, Terni and Milan; and featured popular Italian singers from the 80s such as Ivan Cattaneo and Johnson Righeira.
In 2003, the Florence International School of Comics invited Daniel as consultant/specialist for the examination board. This same year, he exhibited a series of large-scale, mixed media masks in Orvieto entitled “Mask il passato presente.”
In 2004, Daniel shifted his focus to painting and held his first US exhibit in Washington, DC with the Inter-American Development Bank.
In Washington, DC he held numerous exhibits before starting a 4-month public art project in Guatemala City. In collaboration with SCREAM [Supporting Children's Rights through Education, the Arts and the Media] and local NGOs, Daniel executed two large-scale public murals in Guatemala City aiming at bringing environmental awareness and promoting child rights.
In 2005 he exhibited with Agora Gallery in New York City. For the next 6 years Daniel made New York his main base collaborating and exhibiting throughout the city and boroughs. He established the light fixture design studio, Organic Light Sculptures, featured in the New York Times; and worked as Instructor of Sculpture and Fabrication at 3rd Ward in Brooklyn, NY.
In 2011, Daniel embarked on a one-year travel experience in Brazil, leading to a series of murals, works on paper and sculptures.
Daniel’s art production spans from canvas and light sculptures to murals and illustrations. In October 2012, he organized a group show in Staunton, Virginia. The artist-organized installation, CONCATENATION, explored how the public encounters the arts through unconventional spaces.
